Even Better: A Nashville Apartment Home Renovation

If you've ever ventured into the Germantown neighborhood, you're bound to have passed by here and taken notice. Built in the early 1960s, this 22-unit apartment complex has been called "home" by several hundred families and budding Nashvillians.

In close proximity to the Cumberland River, Centennial Park, Elliston Place Shopping Center (as well as dozens of classic and trendy restaurants, boutiques, businesses, hospitals, and public transit) this is not only an IDEAL place to live but also to work and play!

Having undertaken a recent change in ownership, the new property owners have decided to renovate and update these classic apartment homes to better meet the needs and desires of current and prospective tenants.

With a city as fast-paced and fashionable as the "New" Nashville is, who can blame them!

We're just beginning the first phase of this project but part of what you can expect is this:

Part 1 – Demolition Work

  1. All interior and exterior doors

  2. All interior trim work, closet shelving

  3. Kitchen cabinets, countertops, bathroom fixtures

  4. All finished flooring/bathroom’s tile finishes

As you can see below, a considerable amount of flooring and insulation has to be removed before additional updates can be made.

Part 2 – Framing Work (per Building Inspector’s Report) Beginning Soon

  1. Structural Engineer’s report – stairs, landings, structural steel supports

  2. Shore up floors

  3. Clean up, replace damaged wood materials, bathroom tub areas

  4. Mold remediation as needed - NOTE: Signs showing in 1st floor ceilings and ceiling lights fixtures – need to be addressed)

05/12/22: More updates to come as we continue on in the renovation process. To view the full scope of photographs from this project, please head over to the Our Work section.
